Our Story

About On Point Outfitters

A hometown guide service built on quiet mornings, skinny water, and the fish that live where few boats go.

On Point Outfitters runs light-tackle and fly charters deep in the Everglades backcountry, launching out of Flamingo Marina, Everglades National Park. We spend our days poling the flats and mangrove shorelines where the water goes skinny and the fish get spooky — the kind of place you have to know to fish well.

Depending on the season and the tide, we chase tailing redfish on the low water, snook tucked into the mangrove roots, and rolling tarpon in the backcountry basins. Every trip is built around the conditions that day, not a script, so whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned angler you get real shots at fish.

Our approach is simple: small groups, clean gear, and a guide who would rather put you on the right fish than the easy one. Come see why the backcountry out of Flamingo keeps anglers coming back season after season.

Your Captain

Meet Your Guide

Your captain has spent years learning the tides, channels, and moods of the Everglades backcountry. USCG-licensed and endlessly patient, they love nothing more than watching a client set the hook on their personal-best snook or feel a tarpon take off across the flat for the first time.

Based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, On Point Outfitters keeps trips small and personal so every angler on board gets coaching, casts, and time on the fish.

Where We Fish

Flamingo & the Everglades Backcountry

We fish out of Flamingo Marina, Everglades National Park — the southern gateway to Everglades National Park and the jumping-off point to thousands of acres of mangrove creeks, open flats, and hidden basins. It is remote, quiet water full of life, and it is home for us.

What Anglers Say

  • Best day I've ever had on the water. We poled the flats at first light and had shots at tailing reds within twenty minutes.

  • Patient with a first-timer and put my kids on fish all afternoon. The backcountry out of Flamingo is something else.

  • Jumped my first tarpon on light tackle thanks to this crew. Already booked my trip back for next season.
